The Constitution
1. Three Branches of Government: Legislature, Judicial & Executive
2. The Executive Branch: Led by the President and Vice President. This Branch is in charge of making sure that the laws are obeyed
3. Power: The Power is shared between the 3 branches of government
4. The Judicial Branch: Interprets the meaning of laws, applies laws to individual cases, and decides if laws violate the Constitution.
5. The Legislative Branch: Consist of the House of Represitives and the Senate
The Articles of Confderation
1. Executive Branch: Could not enforce the laws.
2. The Judicial Branch: No national court system to interpret laws.
3. The legislative Branch: Congress was the only organization of the national government, but it had no power to force the states to do anything against their will.
